Two Big Questions

And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is the Son of God.” — Acts 9:20 Do you know what proof the Bible gives us that Jesus is the Son of God? Here are some options for you Bible scholars out there: (a) He performed miraculous signs and wonders. (b) He healed all manner of sicknesses. (c) He said he was the Son of God. (d) He died on a cross. (e) He was resurrected from the dead. (f) All of the above. According to Romans 1:3-4, the correct answer is (e). "The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life He was born into King David's family line, and He was shown to be the Son of God when He was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 1:3-4 (NLT) The resurrection of Jesus from the dead is the proof that He is the Son of God. All the other statements are true, but others claimed or did them as well. That's why throughout the New Testament, especially in the book of Acts, they preached the resurrection of Christ (over 65 times). That was the proof that He is the Son of God. Just in case you missed that one, here's a chance to redeem yourself by answering another question: Who raised Jesus from the dead? (a) Jesus Himself (b) The Father (c) The Holy Spirit (d) All of the above The answer is (d). See John 2:19, 10:17-18; Romans 1:3-4, 8:11; Galatians 1:1; and Acts 2:24. How did you do?

Have a great day, and remember, "He is Risen!" Now you know why and by whom. Maranatha!
